“Deaf Enough” is a Deaf-led, raw, and unique conversation, produced and performed by Nathan Borg, and co-performed by Sam Martin.

Our show had its premiere at the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2023, where we delved into Nathan’s personal journey of discovering what it means to feel “Deaf Enough.” Nathan has been Deaf since the age of 7 months, and he didn’t meet another Deaf Auslan user until he was 23. “Deaf Enough” is all about challenging misconceptions surrounding Deaf identity, access, and language, with the aim of increasing Deaf representation within the world of theatre.

“Deaf Enough” was nominated for Best Words and Ideas at Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2023.
